I think the question is - can you upload a csv file of email addresses, or do you have to establish your "address book" by key entry? This is a big deal for me, as I have over 600 contacts!
Chris, I didn't realize when I originally posted this question that you have the ability, after creating an e-card, to actually paste a link to the card into the body of an email. So you're able to send e-cards to your database right from Outlook. Unfortunately, before realizing this I'd already entered approx. 300 email addresses one by one into ZingDing! I never found anything in any of the instructions/directions that made this clear until I created a card and was going thru the steps to send the card. The program then gives you the choice of emailing from the addresses you've entered within ZingDing OR copying/pasting a link to the card into your own email program.
We are currently revamping the email list system so you can easily upload multiple lists from multiple sources. Currently you can only upload lists from Outlook or as mentioned, painstakingly one at a time. Hoping to have the revamp ready by early February. The best work around is to email the ecard to yourself from within our system, then forward that email on to your contacts. Just remember to delete the "FW:" from the subject line and anything else that shows up on top of typical fwds in the body of the email.
While we will continue to do our best and support your ability to send emails to large databases, I personally think email is only a small part of the equation for distributing your Listing ZingDings. Posting them on Craigslist, embedding them on your websites, blogs, newsletters is a good start. Anywhere you market your listing be it online or print you should provide a link to the eCard. The real estate market has been over saturated with agents emailing their listings so much that most just delete them and consider it spam. I suggest emailing them to a more select group like your office colleagues or closest contacts. There are so many "share" options on the eCards themselves that they will still be very viral.
I tend to agree with you......agents are receiving so many emails......many are touting properties....many agents now just delete and go on.
I tend to do this myself ......I read the Subject line and will look at the attached flyer ( etc ) if the Subj line shows that the property is in an area of interest to me......the rest are deleted.
The trick is for us to be able to say...."Hey, over here, look at me ! " in such a way that the recipient is intrigued enough to take a look.
That is why I love the ZingDings......new and fresh......
Thanks Robert, When it comes to the Holiday/special greeting ZingDings, email is the way to go, but that's because you should be emailing those to clients/friends that already know you personally which is different than randomly emailing listings to multiple agents.
Hello... I'm new to zingding, but am a software geek by trade. I went to upload my .CSV (in Windows format) into zingding and got a system error saying I needed to contact support. Please advise on how to proceed. Thanks in advance. Scott
